It is composed of synthetic resins, turpentine and petroleum spirit. As a final varnish, it should be applied after the oil painting is completely dry, between 6 months and 1 year, depending on the thickness. The varnish dries in only a few hours and does not yellow over time. Dry layers of oil paint varnish can be removed with turpentine or petroleum.
